Winter Program December 2005 - February 2006

The Winter Indoor Track Program will start on Thursday December 1, 2005 and run through Sunday February 26, 2006. The program consists of twice-weekly sessions on Thursday and Sunday. 

On Thursday we will train indoors focusing on flexibility, strength and speed between 6 - 8.30pm, dependent on age (U13 from 6-7pm, with 13 and over from 7-8.30pm). 

On Sundays we will either have a meet in the morning, OR a training session from 3:00- 4:30pm in the afternoon if no meet is scheduled. If weather permits on Sunday afternoon, we will train outdoor at a local high school track, or at an indoor facility if the weather does not allow us to train outdoors.

Over the course of the Winter Program there are eight indoor meets available to us, located at facilities in Landover MD, Hagerstown, MD and Arlington VA. We plan to attend five of these meets, but will be flexible with this schedule in case winter weather makes travel to any of these meets difficult.

Our primary meets for the Winter Program are held at the Prince George's County Complex (PGC) in Landover, MD (next to FedEx field). This is one of the finest indoor facilities in the country and participation in all these meets is encouraged. Please note that the meets are held on Sunday mornings, and if this conflicts with other commitments you may have, the Winter Program may not be ideal for you!

Note: If you would like to participate in a Winter Program, but cannot attend the Sunday morning meets, we encourage you to instead contact Mercury Speed Unlimited for their fitness program.
